Indian born dancer Shantala Shivalingappa used to work with famous choreographer Pina Bausch before meeting scenographer and director Aurelién Bory. In “aSH“, she creates images on stage inspired by Shiva, the god of dance and destruction, whose vibration gives rise to the rhythm of the world. Accompanied by the sounds of percussionist Loïc Schild, the whole scenography seems to vibrate and clatter, like a third entity on stage, following its own rhythm.
