Being one of the most important conductors of the 20th century, Karl Böhm was not only a great artist, but also a person dedicated to National Socialism in order to advance his career. The masterful puppeteer and director Nikolaus Habjan succeeds in staging “Böhm“ as an ambivalent while at the same time wonderfully hovering study of ignorant conformism and chumming up opportunism.
