Threads and rods are no longer the only means of controlling figures on a theatre stage. Today, state-of-the-art digital technologies are used. They provide innovative power to the theatre performance and open up a variety of new design possibilities for artists. Far away from constraints of everyday life, a deeper reflection of innovative technology is set in motion. Focusing not on the concrete success of action, but the experience of a technically shaped reality. Representatives of science, art and industrial technology development discuss the possibilities of such a reflection and its implications for research and development. A collaboration of the 21st international figuren.theater.festival and the WiSo Nuremberg within the framework of the #NUElectures, a platform for the close-to-citizen dialogue between science and urban society.
