The painter Zinnober lives in a grey city – the walls are grey, the fences, everything. But he loves the colours of life. After meeting the kids Jonas and Paula, they decide to secretly revolt. Inspired by a children’s story of author Margret Rettich, puppeteers Melanie Sowa and Philipp Michael Börner have the audience participate in the genesis and formation of a coloured city. Live painting, shadow play and digital media awaken the joy of colours and experiments.
