The movie “Paul and Paula“, released in the GDR in 1973, reached cult status in no time. It reflected the attitude towards life of a whole generation. In a mixture of theatre, live music and puppetry, the love story is reinterpreted: Rike Schuberty embodies not only the single parent and saleswoman Paula, but also all the other protagonists and performs the songs of the movie live on the guitar.
