German Premiere
In his performance “Transfiguration“, the painter, sculptor and performer Olivier de Sagazan builds layers of clay and paint on his face to transform and disfigure his own appearance, revealing a half human and half-animal, who is seeking to understand his real nature. At once disquieting and deeply moving, this new body of work reveals the puppets and the puppeteer that we have inside of us. A spiritual and brutish representation between dance and trance.
