“Momo” tells a story about the value of friendship, empathy and the precious nature of time. When the sinister Men in Grey appear and begin to steal time of the people, the destiny of not only her friends but that of the entire world rests in Momo’s hands. Michael Ende’s story is a modern fairy tale which critically depicts contemporary themes such as the increasing pressure on individual efficiency and the resulting social disintegration.
