“The Ventriloquists Convention” is a fiction of great realism, an imagined reconstruction of the yearly ventriloquists meeting in Kentucky. Once again, Dennis Cooper delivers a cunning lyrical score which builds upon the multiple voices of the protagonists. A dramaturgy arises out of the changing interpretation of the voices that transform seemingly simple relations into a psychological labyrinth.
The performance on May 26 in Erlangen will be followed by an artist talk.
