Darkest sorrow follows upon moments of joy. Introspection and isolation, despair and hope. “D-Generation: An Exaltation of Larks“ depicts the psychological and emotional dimensions of dementia. Based on stories written collaboratively by people with late-stage dementia, the play focuses on five inhabitants of a care-facility (the puppets) and their caregivers (the puppeteers). Their interactions capture the complex world of people living with dementia, their creative potential and ability to communicate.
The performance on May 27 in Erlangen will be followed by an artist talk in English.
