Deine Stadt, ein Schatz
ZAM-Straßenfest
A place is currently being developped in Erlangen where people can come together to work on creative, technical, artistic and entrepreneurial projects, exchange ideas, exhibit results and present ideas and solutions to an audience. The place is called “Zentrum für Austausch und Machen”, or ZAM for short. For the past two years, the ZAM’s operating association has been the sponsor of a pilot project entitled “Sharing Knowhow Makes Cities Strong” as part of the “Post-Corona City” funding programme of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction. On the second Saturday of the festival we will celebrate the finale of the project and the figuren.theater.festival together. For the occasion, the team organised to have Erlangen’s main street closed for traffic.
“Deine Stadt, ein Schatz” (Your city, a treasure) starts at 10:00 a.m. The Hauptstraße will become a living room where the Post-Corona City projects and other initiatives from ZAM will present themselves. Guided tours of the workshops will also be offered. Parallely, the individual parts of the cardboard architectures prepared in workshops by Olivier Grossetête will be brought to the Schlossplatz and set up there. Chloé Moglia will perform her areal act at Hugenottenplatz. In the afternoon, children’s plays by Adeline Rüss and Thalias Kompagnons will be presented in the Stadtmuseum coutyard and around Hauptstraße, Florian Feisel will bring a historical ventriloquist’s dummy to life in “Viva Plastika”, puppet theatre students will surprise with street theatre, Carsten Galle will compose music with vegetables and visitors, and the Materialtheater ensemble will present its Repair Café film “Aufstand der Dinge”.
Before, between and after the performances, the local gastronomy invites you to experience the urban space in a new way, free of traffic. The “WirBand” will provide the atmosphere.
Under the motto “Sharing Knowhow”, several artists of the international figuren.theater.festival will talk about their work in short lectures the evening before at ZAM.
