Zimmer ohne Aussicht
“Zimmer ohne Aussicht” (Room Without a View) is a modular first-person online game theatre. It invites its visitors to explore an abandoned room without a door via livestream. Furniture and belongings left behind tell stories. Who used to live here? Where are these people now? When was this earlier or is it yet to come? The performance is based on a modular storytelling system that can generate up to 6,720 different stories. The room thus not only looks at hidden, denied or forgotten lives, but also at the influence that what we want to see has on what we get to see.
Franz Schrörs is a graduate of the figure theatre programme at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. In his works he moves between the real world and digital media, between theatre, sound art and computer games. The focus is particularly on human absence, the invention of truths and the animation of sound.
Participation via Zoom
To stream the performance live, a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone and a stable internet connection are required. Participation requires downloading the Zoom software and agreeing to its privacy policy.
