Mime Minimale (CH/DE)
Skurrile Strickaktion
Knit along! And this is how it works: Tuck it in, fold it over, pull it through, let it down. Quite simple, isn’t it? The actress Selina Senti has created a fictional character – Mrs. Elfriede Peil. A petite appearance, refreshing and passionate. For her, knitting is a matter of the heart. Based in downtown Fürth, she invites people to knit together. Even knitting grouches reach for the wool when she’s around. The more people join in, the larger her red knitted strips become, growing into long tentacles, snake monsters or red carpets – just let your imagination run wild. Enough wool and needles are provided!
Selina Senti works as an actress and mime artist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, for ART Basel, Mimesis Paris, K21 Düsseldorf and the International Mime Art Festival in Warsaw. She is head of the performing arts department at the Marburg Summer Academy and teaches at the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt, at Zirkus Zack Berlin and at the association Seitenwechsel.
